The first song from Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra’s upcoming film ‘Param Sundari’, titled ‘Pardesiya, has taken the internet by storm. Janhvi’s rumoured boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya, couldn’t help but shower praise for the actor on social media.
Sharing the video on his Instagram Story, Shikhar called it the “Best song and best girl,” clearly gushing over Janhvi on-screen. Janhvi later reshared his post.
The video opens with a romantic exchange between Janhvi and Sidharth, set against the lush greenery of a tea plantation in Kerala. The song, widely being hailed as the ‘love anthem of 2025,’ has quickly become a fan favourite. The song has been sung by singers Sonu Nigam and Krishnakali Saha.
The makers, Maddock Films and Dinesh Vijan, recently dropped a fresh announcement poster, unveiling a new release date. ‘Param Sundari’ will now hit theatres on August 29, 2025.
Sharing the poster, the caption read, “The biggest love story of the year, Param Sundari, from the house of Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films, directed by Tushar Jalota, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, releases August 29. And in just one hour, feel every beat and every emotion of the love story with ‘Pardesiya’, the love anthem of 2025.”
Earlier, the release date was subtly shifted through an updated teaser attached to the theatrical prints of ‘Maalik’, which released on July 11. While the teaser remained unchanged, the final slate was modified to reflect a move from July to August, now reading, “In cinemas worldwide this August.”
Directed by ‘Dasvi’ fame Tushar Jalota, ‘Param Sundari’ is a cross-cultural romantic drama exploring the love story between a North Indian boy and a South Indian girl.
