Within just its first week, the Hindi version of Mahavatar Narsimha has emerged as a HIT. This is the most pleasant surprise of 2025 as, leave aside the film emerging as a success, one hasn’t even heard of its name till a week before its arrival. In fact, there was very limited showcasing for the film and it seemed like one of the many south offerings that arrive in theatres and then disappear soon. However, it’s now clear that there was something strategic happening behind the scenes.

Just like Kantara (Hindi), this one too started modestly but caught attention on the very first day. The collections started seeing steady jumps from Saturday onwards itself and by Sunday there were housefull shows all around at increased count of shows. Ticket rates did go down from Monday onwards but collections saw steady increment, as a result of which the first week has ended on a huge high with Thursday bringing in Rs. 5.92 crores.

The film now stands at Rs. 32.82 crores and while in Hindi animation it’s the biggest of all times ever since this genre came into existence, in all-India cinema too it will emerge as the biggest ever today itself as it goes past Chaar Sahibzaade (Punjabi) lifetime of Rs. 33.17 crores. In fact, the pace at which it’s going, it will comfortably hit a half century before the second week comes to a close. What would be interesting to see is whether it keeps the pace going till the arrival of War 2 and Coolie, and makes its case to go past Kantara (Hindi) lifetime of Rs. 79.25 crores in its final run.
