Synch and AI music dataset licensing platform SourceAudio teamed with AI audio research and deployment company ElevenLabs in a deal that will see SourceAudio serve as ElevenLabs’ preferred music licensing partner. Under the agreement, SourceAudio will offer ElevenLabs access to millions of pre-cleared songs hosted on the SourceAudio platform for “ethical AI training,” according to a press release. “This ensures a seamless flow of music to ElevenLabs through a unified delivery pipeline, mirroring the efficiencies enjoyed by DSPs that work with aggregators,” the release adds, further noting that “14 million songs on the SourceAudio platform are opted into its AI dataset licensing program. These songs are available to AI companies subject to specific thresholds and ethical AI practices, such as no direct song replication or substitution with synthetic data.”
SEGG Media Corporation completed its acquisition of a majority and controlling interest in DotCom Ventures (DVI), which owns the Concerts.com and TicketStub.com brands. The transaction values DVI at $10 million. The deal includes 51% of DVI and all IP/assets of Concerts.com and TicketStub.com. According to a press release, “recruitment [is] underway for top-tier industry leaders to consult and scale Concerts.com and TicketStub.com over the next 3–6 months.” The release adds that SEGG Media “now controls three of the most coveted and pre-eminent digital assets in sports, entertainment and gaming — Sports.com, Concerts.com and Lottery.com.” Said DVI founder and incoming Concerts.com CEO Patrick Ogle in a statement, “With SEGG Media’s backing, we’ll deliver premium events, smart ticketing, and a platform fans can trust. Sports.com, Concerts.com, and TicketStub.com are poised to become the first stop on every fan’s live event journey and the go-to destination for our industry partners to interact with those fans.”
Los Angeles-based indie label Org Music struck a distribution agreement with Secretly Distribution. Through the deal, Secretly will handle physical and digital music distribution, digital and retail marketing, and technological support for all of Org Music’s releases. The agreement will kick off with two reissue series: Funkadelic albums restored and remastered from the original tapes, and classic albums from the Descendents. The deal will also cover Org Music’s collaborations with jazz, blues, soul and funk catalogs from Brunswick Records, Black Lion, Westbound Records and the GHB Jazz Foundation (home to the Paramount Records masters), along with punk artists including Bad Brains and Tav Falco.
Ticketmaster Australia partnered with Australian promoter Untitled Group, which will work with the ticketing giant to ticket events being held at uncontracted venues and Greenfield sites in Australia. Under the deal, Ticketmaster company Moshtix will handle ticketing for select Untitled Group events.
Symphonic Distribution signed a partnership with Korean record label and artist management company ABYSS Company, through which Symphonic will distribute ABYSS’ roster of emerging Southeast Asian artists globally. The first releases will include Filipino artists Anthony Meneses and MATÉO.
Legends/ASM Global signed an agreement with the Lansing Entertainment & Public Facilities Authority to provide management services for Lansing Center, the city-owned convention and events hub in Lansing, Mich. The five-year contract went into effect on July 1; it also includes management of Groesbeck Golf Course and maintenance services for Jackson Field, home of the baseball team the Lansing Lugnuts.
