Netflix has unveiled a diverse slate of 10 new Colombian productions set to debut over the coming year, as the streamer continues to expand its investment in local-language storytelling across Latin America.

The new titles span a mix of original dramas, returning series, and nonfiction projects, including the conclusion of several established franchises and dramatizations of real-life events from Colombia’s recent past. The company’s continued local push in Colombia comes as anticipation builds for the second and final season of its adaptation of Gabriel García Márquez’s One Hundred Years of Solitude, expected to debut sometime next year.

Among the new titles is Palace (Palacio), a dramatization of the 1985 siege of Colombia’s Palace of Justice by the M-19 guerrilla group. Directed by Jayro Bustamante, Edgar Nito and Samir Olivares, with Natalia Santa serving as showrunner, the series revisits the 27-hour standoff and its long-lasting national impact. The show is produced by Bogotá-based studio Dynamo.

Several popular Netflix franchises will also conclude with upcoming seasons. Medusa, one of Netflix Colombia’s most-watched dramas of 2025, will return for a second and final season next year, featuring new cast members Juan Pablo Urrego and Karen Martínez. Created by TIS Productions, the show follows a power struggle within a fractured family led by protagonist Bárbara (Juana Acosta).

Eva Lasting (La Primera Vez) — billed as Netflix’s first Colombian franchise — will also wrap with its fourth season. Set in the 1980s, the coming-of-age drama centers on a group of teenagers navigating romance and upheaval amid political unrest. The series is produced by Caracol Televisión.

Other scripted projects include Fugue State 1986 (Estado de Fuga), inspired by a real-life mass shooting carried out by Vietnam War veteran Campo Elías Delgado in Bogotá. Directed by Carlos Moreno and Claudia Pedraza, the series explores the relationship between two literature students whose shared fascination with violence leads to tragedy. The show is produced by AG Studios.

Netflix also continues to explore nonfiction with a three-part docuseries centered on Colombian football star James Rodríguez. Directed by Simon Brand and produced by Clover Studios, the series tracks Rodríguez’s career from his early club stints through the 2024 Copa América and into the lead-up to the 2026 World Cup.

Additional scripted titles in the slate include The Guest (La Huésped), a family drama revolving around political ambitions and a destabilizing houseguest; Just Alice (Simplemente Alicia), a dark comedy about a woman balancing two marriages; and the final season of Fake Profile (Perfil Falso), a glossy thriller centered on revenge and deception within a luxury resort setting.

One feature film is also included in the slate. Susana and Elvira, produced by Pulsar Studios and directed by María Gamboa, will follow two women navigating a high-stakes wedding amid personal and professional crises. The project reunites actresses Manuela González and Mabel Moreno, reprising roles from an earlier series. A theatrical release is planned ahead of its arrival on Netflix.

Netflix launched in Colombia nearly 15 years ago as the service rolled out across Latin America and the Caribbean in the fall of 2011. It has been commissioning and releasing Colombian originals since 2018 and achieved a major early global success with the Pablo Escobar saga Narcos. Though produced in the U.S., the show was widely filmed in Colombia and remains one of the most streamed series globally, underscoring Colombia’s role in Netflix’s early international growth. One Hundred Years of Solitude, released in December 2024, is arguably the company’s most acclaimed and high-profile fully Colombian title.
