Mandira Bedi likely to return in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi reboot after 25 years: Report

As per Filmibeat, which quoted sources, Mandira Bedi is likely to make her television comeback 25 years after her last significant appearance — and it could be with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. In the original season, she portrayed Dr. Mandira Kapadia, a character whose commanding presence and complex ties with the Virani family brought tension and drama to the storyline. Though her role was short-lived, her powerful performance made a lasting impact on the audience.

With buzz around her comeback, there’s growing curiosity about whether Mandira Bedi will reprise her earlier role or take on a new character. Her possible return has stirred much speculation among fans. However, an official confirmation from both the actress and the makers is still awaited.

In addition to Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay, several other familiar faces such as Hiten Tejwani, Gauri Pradhan, Sandeep Baswana, Shilpa Agnihotri, and Rakshanda Khan have also returned to the show.

As reported by Filmibeat, Mouni Roy and Pulkit Samrat, who portrayed the popular couple ‘Krishna Tulsi’ and ‘Lakshya’, are set to make a cameo appearance in the reboot.

The new season also introduces fresh faces, including Rohit Suchanti, Shagun Sharma, Aman Gandhi, Tanisha Mehta, Prachi Singh, and Ankit Bhatia.

Launched in 2000 by Ektaa Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, the show redefined Indian television by introducing new benchmarks in storytelling, family drama, and cultural impact. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi grew into a phenomenon, topping TRP charts for years and turning Tulsi and Mihir into household names.

Even after more than two decades, the emotional bond and memorable characters continue to resonate with audiences, making the show’s comeback a source of excitement for Indian television fans.
