Tanishk opened up about the emotional void that success often fails to fill. Reflecting on the disconnect between outward achievements and inner fulfillment, he shared, “In my opinion, the person who seems to have everything is often the emptiest inside. I have money, sure, but that’s just a material thing. What truly matters are the things you can’t see: love, and moments in life. I’ve done so much work, achieved so much, but have you ever seen me genuinely happy, celebrating, or cherishing any of it? Somewhere deep down, something’s missing in me. I don’t even know why. Maybe it’s because in my family, my dad was an incredible musician. Compared to him, I’m nothing. He dedicated his entire life to music. And what did he get in return? Nothing. No recognition. No fame. People just remember him as a teacher, that’s it.”

When asked if it’s the loneliest at the top, Tanishk agreed without hesitation. “One hundred percent, that’s absolutely true. You can probably already tell from the way I speak that I’m someone who’s alone. In this world, a person really comes into it for themselves, and whatever needs to be done, they have to do it on their own. We forget to love ourselves. We give all our love to others. We give everything for someone else. But eventually, when you grow older, you realize that you never gave yourself any time. I’ve made such a big song, and I’m not even celebrating it myself. So, these are the things, and that’s why you feel lonely sometimes.”

Tanishk Bagchi spoke candidly about his values and what truly drives him as an artist. Emphasizing his grounded approach to fame and success, he shared, “I’m not jealous, and I don’t have greed. I’m content with whatever I have. I’m not into show-offs. Even if I buy a car, I don’t go around bragging about it. I genuinely enjoy working. I want people to tell me, ‘You made Saiyaara, now you have to create something even better.’ That journey, that constant push is very important in a musician’s life.”

Tanishk Bagchi’s ‘Saiyaara’ has made waves globally, topping the Billboard Global 200 and Spotify’s Top Global Songs chart. Featuring Faheem Abdullah’s soulful vocals, the emotionally powerful track has become a milestone moment for Indian music on the world stage.
