The spy thriller action-packed film is about an undercover cop who is trying to gain access to a criminal gang which is led by his brother. There are action sequences, emotional dramas, and the action-packed movie showcases themes of family bonds, betrayal, redemption, as well as responsibilities. Ram Charan was the first choice for Kingdom
Vijay Devarakonda’s Kingdom will be an action-packed drama that showcases explosion scenes. Even though Vijay’s fans are excited to see him as ‘Surya’, Kingdom director, Gowtam Tinnauri had reportedly first approached Ram Charan for the thriller movie when Acharya was being filmed. The south megastar was impressed by the script, and the production of the movie was set to happen when Ram was ready to wrap up RRR and Acharya. Ram had also taken to his X account to make a formal announcement. However, it was in November 2022 when the film got permanently shelved.
Vijay Devarakonda to attend the screening of Kingdom in Hyderabad
Vijay Devarakonda reportedly will attend the morning screening of Kingdom with his fans at the Sudarshan 35mm theatre located in Hyderabad, as per a 123Telugu report. The actor has prior police approvals, and top security arrangements have been made so that another Pushpa 2 stampede incident does not take place. Kingdom was earlier set to have a global release on March 28, 2025, but because of the incomplete production, it was postponed. Well, Vijay had liked the script of Kingdom, and that is how the film came on his platter after Ram Charan was not able to be a part of the same.
The espionage thriller has been written as well as directed by Gowtam with the support and guidance of Fortune Four Cinemas and Sithara Entertainments. On the other hand, Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya have produced the movie, while the soundtrack was composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The first installment of the movie will be a two-part series where clandestine operations will be seen with identity concealing. The Hindi version of the movie has been called, Samrajya.
The craze for Kingdom has skyrocketed all due to Vijay Devarakonda
There have been reports doing the rounds that ahead of Kingdom’s release, which is hours away, the craze for the film has surpassed expectations. Reportedly, within the first 24 hours, more than 1,00,000 tickets have been sold, making the buzz of the movie top-notch on ticketing apps. The hype of the film has been high with fans loving all the pre-release promotions, trailer of the movie. Gowtam Tinnanuri directed Kingdom, apart from Vijay, will also have Bhagyashri Borse, and Satyadev.
The Indian audiences will get to watch the movie after Kingdom premieres in the USA. The movie is set to be a part of a planned duology. Vijay, in a press meeting, had also shared that he liked to play the role of a cop who went undercover in the movie and also shared that someday in his body of work, he would love to play the role of a full-fledged police officer.
