Indian opener Abhishek Sharma dethroned Travis Head to become the No.1 ranked batter in the latest ICC T20I rankings. Abhishek, who has been in sensational form since making his debut in the shortest format of the game, joined Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav as the third Indian batter to achieve the feat.
Abhishek ended Head’s one-year reign at the top of the rankings as the Australian decided to sit out the recent series win against West Indies. Head took over the spot from Suryakumar after the T20 World Cup last year.
