Bollywood stalwart Sunny Deol experienced what he described as “a moment of deep honour and gratitude” when he met His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama during a trip through the serene Himalayan landscapes of Ladakh. Sharing the encounter on Instagram, Deol posted a touching photograph capturing the spiritual leader gently pressing Sunny’s hands to his forehead as a gesture of Indian reverence, while the actor bowed in return, eyes alight with joy and humility.

The meeting comes amid a personal father-son road trip the actor has been enjoying with his younger son, Rajveer. Their Instagram feed is filled with scenic vistas from Baralacha La Pass, laughter, and candid moments in the mountains. One playful reel captures the duo dust-covered and smiling, with Rajveer declaring: “Good dust, healthy dust—it’s good for your skin.” Deol captioned that post, “A Father‑Son trip through the majestic Himalayas.”
On the work front, Sunny Deol has just wrapped shooting for Border 2, the sequel to the iconic 1997 war drama. The film, directed by Anurag Singh and featuring Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahaan Shetty, is set to release on January 23, 2026. He’s also slated to appear in Lahore 1947, produced by Aamir Khan, and in Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious Ramayana Part 1, in which he portrays Lord Hanuman alongside an ensemble that includes Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita.
