Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara is showing no signs of slowing down at the box office. Now in its second week, the romantic drama starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda has added another feather to its cap. With collections of Rs. 9.50 crore on its second Monday, Saiyaara has officially emerged as the second highest second Monday grosser of 2025, solidifying its position as one of the year’s most resilient hits.
The film, which has been performing exceptionally well since its release, continues to attract strong footfalls in both multiplexes and single screens. Despite the usual weekday dip, Saiyaara held steady, outpacing several high-profile releases from earlier this year. The Rs. 9.50 crore it earned on its second Monday is nearly 95% higher than the second Monday business of Raid 2, which collected Rs. 4.88 crore, and more than 2.5 times the collection of Sitaare Zameen Par, which brought in Rs. 3.75 crore. Other big-ticket titles like Housefull 5 and Kesari Chapter 2 also trailed behind with second Monday figures of Rs. 2.75 crore and Rs. 2.65 crore respectively.
While the Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava remains at the top of the list with Rs. 19.10 crore, Saiyaara’s second Monday figure is notable for a romantic film fronted by newcomers. The fact that it has surpassed films with established stars and existing franchise value speaks volumes about the film’s growing popularity and sustained interest from the audience.
A big factor contributing to this sustained momentum is the strong word of mouth, especially among younger viewers who have connected with the film’s emotion-heavy storytelling, its stirring music, and the breakout performances of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. The film’s social media presence, fuelled by its chartbusting soundtrack, has also helped keep it top-of-mind for cinema-goers well into its second week.
With Saiyaara now surpassing major releases on multiple performance metrics, and continuing to register impressive weekday numbers, it’s clear that the film has broken the mold for romantic dramas in 2025. As it enters the latter half of its theatrical run, all eyes will be on how far this love story can go — but for now, its place among the year’s top performers is well secured.
