A shocking video showing a migrant worker hung upside down and brutally beaten inside a building in Gurugram has triggered widespread outrage and led to the arrest of four men. The video, believed to have been recorded in June, shows the man suspended by his feet while several individuals take turns assaulting him.
In the viral video, the migrant worker is seen crying and begging for mercy as the beating continues inside what appears to be a construction site.
According to police, the incident took place at the ILD Greens complex in Sector 37, Gurugram. After the video went viral on social media, Gurugram Police took suo motu cognisance and registered a case.

In the same video, another man can be seen trying to defend the migrant worker, saying he had done nothing wrong. However, the attackers ignore his pleas. One of the accused can be heard saying, “Instead of keeping watch, all the guards here just drink and party”. The man who tried to intervene counters this accusation, saying, “Nothing like that happens here. No one drinks”.
Police filed the complaint after verifying the footage, which showed one of the accused referring to “Bhati ji” — believed to be Yogendra Bhati of Raapti Timeline Infra (India), a firm associated with the construction site. Brijesh Kumar, another representative of the same company, has also been named in the FIR.
As per the complaint, the migrant worker, a JCB machine operator employed at the site, was allegedly abducted, wrongfully confined and tortured. The FIR has been filed under Sections 115, 127(2), 3(5), and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, relating to attempt to commit an offence, wrongful confinement, organised crime, and grievous assault.
Police have so far arrested four people in connection with the assault. Officials said that further investigation into the matter is underway.
