Alo’s next shoe is here.

Called the “Sunset Sneaker,” this launch is the third addition to Alo’s footwear portfolio since entering the category in 2023.

The Sunset Sneaker draws inspiration from Los Angeles’ iconic Sunset Boulevard and features the trendy low-profile silhouette, premium suede upper, a recovery foam insole, wide laces and a padded collar. The shoe will be available in black and sand colorways.

For Abby Gordon, chief officer of design and merchandising at Alo, the goal for this new silhouette was to create a sneaker that truly reflects the lifestyle of the brand’s community.

“We approached the Sunset Sneaker through a fashion-first lens, but stayed true to our foundation of mindful movement by infusing recovery elements throughout,” Gordon told FN in an exclusive interview. “From the sculpted silhouette to the plush foam insole and soft suede upper, every detail was designed to deliver all-day comfort without compromising style. It had to move effortlessly from studio to street, and feel as elevated as it looks. We also wanted it to feel timeless—something you could live in, not just wear.”

This new sneaker come as a follow-up to its popular Recovery Mode sneaker which launched in May of 2023, and the Alo Runner, which launched in Aug. 2024.

“Each sneaker launch is an opportunity to expand the Alo world through storytelling, culture, and style,” Summer Nacewicz, executive vice president of creative and marketing at Alo, added. “The Sunset Sneaker captures that laid-back, elevated energy our community lives for — minimal, versatile, and rooted in the rhythm of L.A. It’s not just what you wear, it’s how you live in it.”

Gordon noted that since entering the footwear category in 2023, the company’s approach “has always been rooted in blending fashion, purpose, and wellness.”

“We launched with the Recovery Mode sneaker to bring the idea of post-practice recovery into an everyday shoe,” Gordon said. “Then came the Alo Runner, a performance-forward style made for movement. With each drop, we’ve expanded the Alo footwear world with intention—prioritizing elevated design, premium materials, and wearability. The evolution has been thoughtful and the Sunset Sneaker is our most style-driven expression yet, proving that you don’t have to choose between comfort and fashion.”

As for what’s next, Gordon said that footwear is a “natural extension” of the Alo lifestyle, and the opportunity to grow the category is “massive.”

“Our community is looking for intentional design that fits their everyday—from their wellness routines to travel, work, and nights out,” Gordon maintained. “As we evolve the category, we’ll continue exploring new silhouettes—always maintaining that balance of function, luxury, and versatility, while pushing the boundaries of what studio-to-street can look and feel like. The Sunset Sneaker, which retails for $225, will be available starting July 29 on Aloyoga.com and in all Alo retail stores.
