Parmeet Sethi and his wife, Archana Puran Singh, have not only fought against the world for their love, but they have also been through a difficult phase in their marriage. But the duo believed in fixing things rather than ending (which seems easier). Recently, in his son, Aryamann Sethi’s vlog, Parmeet shared his life struggles and how he dealt with the terrible phase in his marital life.
Parmeet Sethi talked about his marital life with Archana Puran Singh hitting a rough patch
In the latest vlog of his son, Aryamann Sethi, on his YouTube channel, Parmeet spoke for the first time about the issues he had never talked about. He admitted that his marital life with Archana Puran Singh went through a deeply difficult phase. Parmeet revealed that he had seen a lot and wasn’t able to smile for one year due to his sister’s passing and later on, his ailing mother’s demise.
At the same time, problems arose in his married life. It was then that Archana forced him to join the Art of Living course, as they were having an extremely low phase. Parmeet was quoted as saying:
“I did Art Of Living course, Archana ne mujhe badi forcefully karwaya. We were going through a bad time as a husband and wife. It was tense and humari bahut kich-kich ho rahi thi. I didn’t wanted to do, toh mai Bangalore gaya mai ne course kiya, aur jab mai ne course kara it just completely. Mere ander jo-jo cheeje thi, jo-jo kachara pada tha vo sab bahaar nikal gaya.”
Parmeet further revealed that during the meditation, he cried his heart out for the death of his sister. After which, he ate a lot in his imagination as he would be on a diet in those days, as he was in the acting profession and had to keep himself fit. He shared:
“I cried loudly for my sister who had died earlier. I cried to my heart’s content. I used to diet a lot during that time, but during the meditation, I imagined myself eating rich food. After that, all my physical ailments were gone after that day.”

Archana Puran Singh’s love story with her husband, Parmeet Singh, is a perfect example of that age is just a number. Not many know that Archana is seven years older than Parmeet. And the couple had dated for four years before getting married on June 30, 1992.
During one of the episodes of The Kapil Sharma Show, Archana had revealed that Parmeet had proposed to her, and overnight, they had eloped. Parmeet’s parents were against their union. She had revealed that they were not happy about the age gap between them and due to Archana’s acting background.
Later, in an interview with The Times of India, Archana talked about her seven-year age gap. She shared that they were so much in love that they had never thought about the age gap. Archana further shared that they were families were initially reserved and had told her to think twice before getting married. She said:
“Before getting married to Parmeet in 1992, we were in a relationship for four years and although we discussed the age gap, we never felt that we should not be with each other because of that. When we finally took the plunge, we realised that we were too much in love with each other to think of the age gap. Though our families had reservations and my family even told me to think twice about getting married to someone younger, I never had any doubt in my mind. And today, after 30 years and two sons, we are still a couple who have faced the ups and downs of life together without the age factor ever coming in focus.”
