Nike’s running comeback is very much on, and the Vomero 18 has played a major role, already surpassing the $100 million mark since its launch in February. The maximum cushioned franchise, best served for recovery runs, will get an upgrade with the Vomero Plus early in August. And just a few months later, will come the most advanced of them all, the Vomero Premium.

New images give the best look yet at the Nike Vomero Premium after it was officially announced by the Swoosh in June. “Hyper Pink” and “Blue Tint” colorways will ring in the model’s debut in October, and both use their schemes to emphasize the added Zoom Air units.

“Hyper Pink” is the louder of the variants, as its namesake neon is applied to nearly the entirety of the upper and sole unit. An exception comes from the dual Zoom Air units sandwiched, which have no problem standing out from the pink in neon yellow. The bulk of the exterior branding hits come in black, while the same shade of yellow repeats again for the tongue’s “Vomero Premium” mark and the whole of the insole branding.

“Blue tint” opts for a soft shade of blue throughout the sneaker, and its sole frames hot pink Zoom Air units inside a slightly darker blue container. Faint dots of pink also line the upper’s middle-thirds, and navy is used for most the branding and pink replaces the yellow placements on the sister colorway.

Those knowledgeable about their retros will recognize the upper’s monochrome “Air” mark, which replicates that of the iconic airAir More Uptempo basketball sneaker from 1996.

Of the Vomero trio, the Premium is the only one to make use of Zoom Air cushioning. The Vomero Premium and Vomero plus feature full-length ZoomX foam, while the Vomero 18 has a layer of ZoomX stacked upon ReactX foam. The Vomero Premium also stands tallest with a 55mm stack height rising above the 46mm and 45mm of the Vomero 18 and Vomero Plus, respectively.

The three Vomeros serve as one-third of Nike’s larger relaunched running line. The Pegasus and Structure franchises — both of which feature similar prongs of numbered, Plus and Premium models — target responsive and supportive cushioning, respectively.

The Nike Vomero Premium will release Oct. 2 through Nike and select third-party retailers before an even wider release Oct. 16. Pricing is set at $220.
