The 18th edition of Hyundai India Couture Week 2025, in association with Reliance Brands and curated by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), has returned to Delhi’s Taj Palace with its signature blend of grandeur, artistry, and bold innovation. While the week promises showstopping couture from 14 of the country’s most celebrated designers, it was Kalki Koechlin’s avant-garde appearance in Amit Aggarwal’s moulded 3D gown that turned every head in the room and beyond.

Kalki Koechlin, never one to shy away from experimental fashion, embodied futuristic femininity in Amit Aggarwal’s moulded 3D gown, priced at Rs. 92,500. The gown, in a sophisticated muted lilac, was an elegant marriage of structure and sensuality. The corset-inspired bodice featured a dramatic, shell-like floral motif, artfully sculpted to mimic natural forms while maintaining architectural precision. Its sheer panelling added an ethereal softness, perfectly balancing the gown’s bold silhouette.
From afar, the ensemble whispered red carpet glamour, but a closer look revealed the couturier’s signature edge: recycled polymer detailing, intricate pleating, and hand-moulded textures that gave the garment its avant-garde form. With its structured drapes that fell like liquid metal, the gown hugged Kalki’s frame with fluid grace, while still celebrating sharp tailoring.
Beauty, Minimalism, and Modern Grace
Kalki’s beauty look was minimal yet magnetic. With her center-parted, sleek hair and flushed berry lips, she let the gown speak while maintaining an understated charm. Her accessories were kept to a bare minimum—statement geometric earrings and a bold ring—highlighting the clean lines of her ensemble. Her makeup, focused on a radiant base with soft contouring, added a subtle glow to her otherwise sculptural look.
