Cierra Ortega reveals being hurt over Nic’s bond with her close friend, Olandria, after her exit from the villa
During episode 30, Cierra abruptly left the show, leaving Nic and their fans confused. Following this, Nic started bonding with Cierra’s close friend from the villa, Olandria Carthen. No sooner did they start exploring their bond than they became fan favourites, who named them as ‘Nicolandria’. The duo even ended up as the runner-ups of the season. Now, after days of the show being over, Cierra spoke on her feelings over seeing Nic and Olandria together. She revealed being both happy and hurt over this situation.
According to a report by Variety, Cierra Ortega took to TikTok and, in a 9-minute-long video, expressed her feelings about Nic and Olandria’s bonding in the villa. The fact that neither Nic nor Olandria spoke about Cierra’s exit from the show seemed to pinch her.
She discussed the same thing in her video. Apart from that, Cierra also shared that she and Nic had strong feelings for each other. When she came out of the house and watched his bond forming with Olandria, it didn’t click with her initially, but when she saw it as a viewer, it actually hurt her. She also claimed that seeing people rooting for ‘Nicolandria’ was also hurtful for her. Cierra could be quoted as saying:
“Coming out to see the whole internet rooting for [Nic and Olandria] to be together the entire time that him and I were together… yeah that hurt. Even when I saw it, it did not click to me. As I watched as a viewer as someone on the outside and saw their connection forming [after I left], I was like damn it f**king hurts.”
Cierra Ortega shares that she was left with no closure at the end, which is hurting her
In the same video, Cierra Ortega talked about her heart holding onto two types of feelings. She said that she is happy to see two people whom she cares about happy together, but it also hurts because she has been mourning her relationship with Nic. Cierra mentioned:
“I can be sad for myself that I am mourning this relationship and all these things I thought were going to happen between us, and I can also be happy for two people I care about. As days went on and I didn’t hear from either of them, the more hurt I became.”
Cierra claimed that she first thought that as soon as Nic and Olandria would come out, they would embrace her, but as that never happened, it’s even hurting more, since she felt like she never really existed. Cierra stated that she is happy for Nic and Olandria, but she’s equally hurt. She stated:
“When I first came out and I could appreciate the friendship and relationship and memories and find beauty in their situation because I thought they’d come out and embrace me. As the days went on it felt like I never existed… That shit hurts. Being shut down with no closure… it’s a lot. Yeah I’m fucking hurt. But I’m also an adult. I’m just going through the motions. How do I feel? I am happy for them. Does it hurt? Of course. But both things can exist.”

During the 30 episode of Love Island 7, Cierra Ortega left the show abruptly. While the exact reason wasn’t disclosed on the show, it was stated that ‘personal issues’ had been the cause of Cierra’s exit, with her old video being cited as the main turning point. For the unversed, Cierra made some racist remarks on the Asian community, which backfired, and people started trolling her. Following this, she was thrown out of the show. She later released a statement and apologised to anyone she had hurt and made the comments about.
