The entire nation is busy celebrating Hariyali Teej, which is observed during the month of Sawan. It celebrates the union of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva. People across Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh observe the festival with pomp. Young girls and married women dress up in green-hued traditional clothing, adorned with mehendi on their hands and more. It is also believed that women should swing on sawaan ka jhula as it is considered extremely auspicious. Not only this, but they also have sweet savouries like ghevar and feniya to honour the union of Shiva and Shakti. Recently, Kumar Vishwas also celebrated his daughter’s first Hariyali Teej after marriage.
Kumar Vishwas’ daughter’s Hariyali Teej celebration after marriage
On July 27, 2025, a video of Kumar Vishwas celebrating Teej with his daughter, who recently got married, surfaced on the internet. In the clip, Kumar Vishwas’ daughter, Agrata Sharmma was sitting on a jhula with her husband. She was dressed up in a beautiful red saree with heavy golden work. Agrata teamed it with a sleeveless golden blouse, and looked radiant. On the other hand, her husband was dressed up in a white-hued kurta with red bandhani doshala.
In the clip, they were swinging on the jhula, while Kumar Vishwas showered them with rose petals. The celebration was joined by Smriti Irani, who also blessed the couple with rose petals. It was a wholesome moment, and a perfect way to celebrate Teej.
Kumar Vishwas’s daughter’s wedding
In March 2025, Kumar Vishwas’ daughter got married. Taking to his social media handle, X (formerly Twitter), he shared a video from his daughter’s celebration. Agrata was dressed up in a beautiful bridal ensemble. In the clip, she showed her first look to her parents, who fought back tears. Despite his best efforts to contain his emotions, his eyes welled up the moment he witnessed his daughter walking towards the mandap.

For the celebration, Agrata looked regal in a red and gold lehenga, which she teamed with a sheer dupatta featuring intricate border detailing. She accentuated her look with an ornate choker, matching earrings, a maang tikka, and bangles. Her groom complemented her in a cream sherwani with gold-green floral patterns, a red pagdi with kalgi, churidar pants, and a multi-layered necklace. They exchanged the varmala, leaving everyone emotional and marking a heartfelt and bittersweet moment.
The doting father, Kumar Vishwas, shared the video of his daughter’s dreamy wedding, adding a heartfelt caption in Sanskrit as a poetic tribute, which translates as:
“Just as the Himalayas gave Goddess Parvati to Lord Shiva and the ocean offered Goddess Lakshmi to Lord Vishnu, similarly, King Janak presented Sita to Lord Ram, bringing new glory to the world.”
