Recently, a fan took to X, previously known as Twitter, and sent a question to Himesh Reshammiya to know if Jr NTR was the highest-paid actor in War 2. The fan even wondered if Hrithik Roshan has a profit-sharing deal with YRF. The fan’s question can be read as “Hey Himesh bhai, can you confirm to me if Hrithik has a profit-sharing deal with YRF on War 2. Reading some reports claiming NTR is being paid more. Please confirm this one.”
To this, Himesh Reshammiya added that Hrithik has a profit-sharing deal with YRF just like the first instalment of the film. The singer further confirmed that Hrithik had earned a whopping pay cheque post the success of War 1. Replying to the fan, Himesh wrote:
“Hrithik Roshan is a partner on War franchise with #YRF and has a backend profit sharing deal. Much like the first part, where he got a very big pay cheque post the success, this one too is a combination of upfront amount as token fee and backend deal. I think he has taken the call to not burden any project on the forefront with hiked budget. Any film from War franchise will see #HR as a partner on profits, which includes War 2.”
Soon netiznes rushed to express their opinion on the same. One user wrote, “Hrithik Roshan’s backend deal with YRF is so strong, even War 3 has abs now.” Another one commented, “I’d prefer this kind of deal anyway rather than an actor taking away 50% of the project’s budget. Ranbir did the same with Animal, and Hrithik Roshan did it with War. Similarly, Shah Rukh Khan didn’t with Pathan.”
