Hulk Hogan’s wife, Sky Daily, is “in pieces” after the legendary wrestler’s shocking death.
Daily, 49, mourned the loss of her husband of three years on Friday, writing via Instagram, “I wasn’t ready for this… and my heart is in pieces.
“He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them. I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time,” she admitted. “This loss is sudden and impossible to process.”
She continued, “To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart.”
Daily addressed how much Hogan “loved his fans” and “despite his growing physical discomfort, he did everything he could to show up, sign autographs, take photos, and connect with the people who supported him through it all.”
“You meant everything to him,” she noted. “He was a believer in Christ, and I take comfort knowing his soul is at peace and he’s been welcomed home.”
She then asked fans to keep his friends and family in their thoughts as they “try to navigate this new reality.”
Hogan died on July 24 at age 71, Page Six confirmed.
“Unfortunately, we must confirm that Terry Bollea, aka Hulk Hogan, passed away this morning,” his reps told Page Six. “We are heartbroken. He was such a great human being and friend.”
Paramedics were dispatched to the WWE wrestler’s Clearwater, Fla., home early in the morning, with operators stating that it was regarding a “cardiac arrest,” according to TMZ.
He was then reportedly carried out on a stretcher and put in an ambulance.
Earlier in July, Daily insisted that her husband was recovering well following an “intense surgery.”
She posted a screenshot on her Instagram Story showing a question from a fan who had asked whether Hogan was in a coma and dying, per PennLive.com.
“No, he’s definitely not in a coma!” Daily replied. “His heart is strong, and there was never any lack of oxygen or brain damage. None of those rumors are true.”
She further explained that the former athlete underwent a “four-level Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusin (ACDF)” and that “there’s no need for the drama or panic some people try to stir up.”
“He’s healing and we’re taking it one day at a time with love, strength, and patience,” Daily concluded.
The WWE star popped the question to Daily in July 2023 after one year of dating.
They wed two months later in an intimate ceremony in front of a small group of family members.
“It was a low-key wedding,” an insider said at the time.
Hogan was previously married to Linda Hogan from 1983 to 2009. They shared two kids: Brooke, 37, and Nick, 34.
Just four days before her ex-husband’s sudden death, Linda reminisced about ‘the good old days’ with the wrestler.
She posted a throwback photo of the two of them during happier times while they were attending the NATPE Convention in Las Vegas.
The exes had an extremely contentious split. Linda claimed the Wrestlemania star physically abused her in her 2011 autobiography, “Wrestling the Hulk: My Life Against the Ropes.” He adamantly denied the allegations and sued her for defamation.
After he and Linda divorced, the six-time WWE champion married Jennifer McDaniel in 2010, but the pair split 11 years later.
In July 2023, the “Hogan Knows Best” best alum admitted on the “This Past Weekend” podcast that there was “a lot of alcohol use” in his first two marriages, but that was something he wanted to change in his marriage with Daily.
“. . .When I got with Sky, I started getting an edge [when drinking.] I’d dig and start sh–. And all of a sudden, I started losing something I didn’t want to lose again. So I said I’m done drinking.”
