A four-year-old girl died after accidentally falling from the 12th floor of a building in Thane while sitting on the window ledge of her apartment.

The incident occurred while Anvika Prajapati was with her mother, who was getting ready to go out.

CCTV footage showed the mother placing Anvika on a wooden table near the window while she got ready. The child then climbed onto the window ledge and sat there, but lost her balance and fell from the 12th floor.

The CCTV footage captured the entire incident; however, India Today has chosen not to release it due to the disturbing nature of the visuals.
