Vanessa Kirby’s portrayal as Sue Storm has received particular acclaim. One enthusiastic viewer stated, “Vanessa Kirby is easily the heart of ‘Fantastic Four’ and steals the entire movie. She’s the glue that keeps the team together, a comforting mother, and such a badass. I’m obsessed! (sic)”
Pedro Pascal’s performance as Reed Richards has also garnered praise. “I don’t think anyone could play Mister Fantastic better than Pedro Pascal. However, not everyone was impressed with the film. There was also a section of the social media users on X who expressed that the film didn’t live up to their expectations. One of the X users said, “Fantastic Four has a gorgeous aesthetic, but is a hot mess of a movie. The pacing and plot are rough (sic).”
Set against a 1960s-inspired backdrop, ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ features Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Their mission is to thwart Galactus, played by Ralph Ineson, a cosmic force aiming to destroy Earth, with Julia Garner as the powerful Herald, the Silver Surfer.
