Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri and starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has entered the Top 10 All-Time Highest First Wednesday Grossers with Rs. 22 crore, surpassing films like Kick, Dangal, Stree 2, and PK. It now holds the 9th spot, just below Good Newwz. Notably, the film achieved this milestone without franchise backing, star power, or a holiday release. Its success is largely attributed to strong word of mouth, youth appeal, and a hit music album.
The chemistry between the leads and the emotionally grounded storytelling have resonated with Gen Z and millennial audiences alike. The soundtrack has become a cultural phenomenon, with several tracks topping Spotify charts. Saiyaara is expected to cross Rs. 250 crore globally soon.
