Marking a major milestone in its Indian journey, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has unveiled the new Shine 100 DX, alongside the CB125 Hornet, as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations. Bookings open from August 1, 2025 and that is when prices will be revealed.
Honda Shine 100 DX design
The Shine 100 DX brings a fresh new take to Honda’s popular commuter line-up with a refined design and practical enhancements. It features a newly designed headlamp with chrome garnishing, a sculpted wide fuel tank with Honda branding, and vibrant body graphics that elevate its visual appeal. The all-black engine and grab rail, paired with a chrome muffler cover, lend the motorcycle a stylish, premium road presence.
Designed for daily comfort, the Shine 100 DX comes with a long, ergonomic seat that ensures ample space and support for both rider and pillion.
Honda Shine 100 DX features
In a segment-first move, the Shine 100 DX is equipped with a modern LCD digital instrument cluster. This all-new display provides real-time mileage, distance-to-empty, and a service due indicator, helping riders stay informed and proactive about maintenance. It also features a side-stand engine cut-off system for added safety.

Powering the Shine 100 DX is Honda’s reliable 98.98cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that delivers 7.28bhp at 7500 rpm and 8.04Nm at 5000rpm, Paired with a 4-speed gearbox, the engine benefits from Honda’s eSP (Enhanced Smart Power) technology, offering smoother acceleration, reduced friction, and optimised combustion for improved fuel efficiency without sacrificing performance.
Honda Shine 100 DX suspension and brakes
The Shine 100 DX is built on a diamond-type frame and rides on 17-inch tubeless tyres, offering durability and better grip. The suspension setup includes telescopic front forks and 5-step adjustable twin rear shock absorbers, delivering a smooth ride even on uneven roads. Braking is handled by drum brakes at both ends (130mm front, 110mm rear), aided by Honda’s Combined Braking System (CBS) for added confidence and control. The Shine 100 DX has a ground clearance of 168mm.

The Shine 100 DX is available in four colour options:
- Pearl Igneous Black
- Imperial Red Metallic
- Athletic Blue Metallic
- Geny Gray Metallic
With the launch of the Shine 100 DX, Honda is expanding its portfolio in the 100cc commuter segment by blending style, practicality, and modern tech into one package. Tailored for India’s evolving two-wheeler customers, it is rival the Bajaj CT100 and the Hero HF Deluxe.
