Shilpa Shirodkar made a glorious comeback with her stint on the reality show, Bigg Boss 18. However, before disappearing from the world of glam and glitz, Shilpa was one of the most loved actresses of all time. However, there was a time when news of her death spread across the nation during the shoot of her film, Raghuveer. The actress shared how it left her family deeply concerned.

Recently, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Shilpa Shirodkar recalled a misunderstanding that occurred during the shoot of her film, Raghuveer, which starred Suresh Oberoi, Sudha Chandran, Mohnish Bahl, Aruna Irani, Gulshan Grover, and Prem Chopra. However, there was a buzz that she had been shot dead, which created ruckus at her home. Later, she was informed by the makers that it was a PR activity to promote the film.
Shilpa shared that she was in Kullu Manali when her father tried calling her hotel, as there were no mobile phones during that time. She added that she was shooting with Suneil Shetty. She said:
“I was in Kullu Manali. My dad was trying to call the hotel because we didn’t have mobile phones at that time. I was shooting with Suniel Shetty there. Everyone who was watching the shoot there kept thinking if this is Shilpa or someone else because they knew the news.”
Shilpa added that when she went back to her room, there were 20-25 missed calls as her parents were left worried due to the newspaper headline that Shilpa Shirodkar was shot dead. She shared:
“When I came back to the room, there were around 20-25 missed calls. My parents were worried, there was a headline in a newspaper that Shilpa Shirodkar was shot dead.”

However, it was later that the producer of the film told her that it was a promotional strategy for their film, and she was only able to say ‘okay’, which she knew was too much. Back in those days, such PR activities wasn’t a part of the glamour world, and no one knew about it. However, the film worked really well, so she had no complaints. She was quoted as saying:
“When he told me, I was like ‘Okay’. Yes, thoda zyada hogaya. There was no PR activity or anything at that time. Kuch pata hi nahi tha na. I was the last one to know that something like this was going to happen. No one used to take permission at that time. The film worked well, so I wasn’t really angry.”
