Rihanna gave sensual power suiting a maternity spin in pieces from Erl’s fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection while out in Los Angeles on Saturday. The Savage x Fenty founder, who is currently pregnant with her third child with partner A$AP Rocky, highlighted her baby bump in a relaxed nylon tailored suit jacket with pleated nylon trousers and a custom Erl silk polka dot tie, which she wore undone.

The singer opted to go shirtless beneath her blazer jacket, favoring instead a sheer bra. Rihanna layered necklaces to add further accessories to her look, wearing earrings and rings to complete the entire power-suiting ensemble.

Polka dots, one of the biggest trends from spring 2025, were featured throughout Erl’s fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection. The motif was also featured in Carolina Herrera’s spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection and has been recently adopted by many celebrities, including Olivia Rodrigo, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Middleton and Livvy Dunne.

Rihanna’s choice to go shirtless beneath her blazer also follows a trend seen during Paris Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week beginning in 2025. Venus Williams attended the Dsquared2 show in Milan wearing a pink suit with a double breasted blazer, sans shirt. Camila Cabello styled the trend a few weeks later during Paris Fashion Week in March. While attending the Chanel fall 2025 show, the singer wore a checkered tweed suit, opting to go shirtless beneath her blazer as well.

Tailored styles for women have gained popularity over the past year. Suited and tailored looks for women follow a trend and cultural moment that sees women embrace a powerful aesthetic. “This renewed focus on women’s tailoring aligns with broader cultural shifts toward sustainability, individuality and the rejection of fast fashion,” Hannah Bond, the womenswear representative for Norton & Sons, said in an interview with WWD‘s Hikmat Mohammed. “As more women ascend to leadership roles and seek professional attire that embodies confidence and style, the demand for high-quality, tailor-made clothing has grown.”

Rihanna is currently promoting her newest film, “Smurfs,” which was released on Friday in the U.S. Throughout the movie’s press tour, the singer was seen in looks by Saint Laurent, Alaïa, Chanel and Dior.
