Popular singer, Anup Jalota recently opened up about the truth about his much famous and talked about relationship with singer, Jasleen Matharu during their time at the reality show, Bigg Boss 12. Their pair had shocked everyone, when they entered as a couple, mainly because of their huge age difference. But recently, Anup Jalota spoke about his relationship and said that none of it was real. He caught the audience by surprise by saying that it was scripted.
Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu’s ‘scripted’ relationship
Anup Jalota was recently seen in an interview with Lallantop, where he revealed the actual reality of things that happened on Bigg Boss. He mentioned that Jasleen Matharu was a good singer and had been his student for a while. During that time, she got an opportunity to be on Bigg Boss and when she consulted about the same with Anup, he encouraged her to go as it would be good for her career.
However, the makers of the show wanted her to enter only as a “unique pair”. Initially, Anup suggested her to ask Sukhwinder ji but she had refused and she asked Anup to come along. Anup first refused but when Jasleen’s father spoke to him, he had agreed to accompany her but on one condition, which was they would go as a guru-shishya pair. He said:
“There was a stipulation that you could only enter as a unique pair. I suggested she take Sukhwinder ji, but she said he had turned it down. I initially declined as well- I had too many concerts. Her father came and persuaded me. I ultimately agreed on one condition: we’d go as guru and shishya. She consented.”
Anup reveals what happened on the show
After the duo went on the show, Anup recalled having a conversation with the host of the show, Salman Khan. Anup said that he introduced Jasleen Matharu as her student but things changed when Jasleen told Salman Khan that the two were in a relationship for three years. In the same interview, Anup revealed feeling shocked. In his words:
“I met Salman Khan and introduced her as my student. She sang beautifully. But when Salman inquired if she was my shishya, she abruptly claimed we had been in a relationship for three years. I thought, Yeh kya hogaya? Yeh toh nahi hua tha. We didn’t even know each other that well.”
Anup also mentioned thinking that all of this was just her game plan. He thought the makers of the show asked her to say all of it. He revealed that he never confronted her but believed that she was doing it to get benefit from it. He shared:
“I was taken aback, but I assumed this might be part of the game. Someone must have instructed her to say that- perhaps even the Bigg Boss team. I never confronted her. I realized that some game was being played behind the scenes, and maybe she stood to benefit from it- and she did.”

Anup Jalota even revealed an interesting detail that since the day the show ended, the two have not been in contact with each other. He agreed that he remained in touch with Jasleen’s father but not with her.
