Pratyusha Bannerjee tragically passed away on April 1, 2016. She was found hanging from the fan at her apartment, and her body was discovered by her ex-boyfriend, Rahul Raj Singh. Soon, Rahul was accused of her suicide, and Kamya Panjabi openly came out to trash his image. Recently, Rahul revealed how Pratyusha and Kamya were not friends as they had a fight due to Karan Patel.

Recently, Rahul, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rahul Raj Singh revealed that there was no friendship between Kamya and Pratyusha as the former claimed. Not only this, Rahul revealed that he knew Kamya for her controversies, as she was involved in an extramarital affair. Then she had a relationship with Karan Patel. He added that Pratyusha and Kamya had a fight due to Karan Patel. He was quoted as saying:
“There was an issue of extramarital affair. Then her relationship with Karan Patel… I always knew her in controversial matters. Later I came to know that there was a fight between Pratyusha and Kamya regarding Karan Patel’s things. There was a quarrel between them. It was alleged that there is no friendship between Kamya Punjabi and Pratyusha anymore. Because Pratyusha had tried to snatch Karan from Kamya.”
Rahul Raj further added that he had never known Kamya directly, but had known her ex-husband, Bunty. He stated that when he was embroiled in Pratyusha’s suicide case, Kamya thought that she would not survive, and thought that he was finished. They thought he would either die or go to a mental asylum. He said:
“I did not know Kamya personally. I did not know her directly. I knew her because Kamya was married to a person whom I knew very well. Then I came to know that there were family issues. At that time Kamya was doing ‘Rehne Wali Mahalon Ki’ and I was doing ‘Maata Ki Chowki’. At that time there were reports of her affair with Nimai Bali. There was a controversy about the extramarital affair. I knew her only because of this controversy. Kamya thought that I would not survive. Everyone thought that I was finished. I had lost weight. I was not able to eat. People thought that I would either die or go to a mental asylum. In this way those people tried their best to finish me. Because I was trying my best to fight.”

Talking about his personal life, Rahul Raj Singh married Saloni Sharma in 2018. The actor had gone through a difficult phase after the tragic death of Pratyusha Banerjee in 2016. The late actress’ family blamed him, and he went through a media trial and police investigation.
Rahul Raj Singh and his wife, Saloni Sharma, welcomed a baby girl on January 26, 2023. Sharing his excitement, Rahul expressed his happiness in an interaction with The Times Of India. He revealed that he is on top of the world. He also shared that they have named their daughter, Shivanya, as they are devotees of Lord Shiva. He was quoted as saying:
“We feel blessed and on top of the world. Our daughter is very cute. We have named her Shivanya. As devotees of Lord Shiva, it was natural to finalise a name, which has a connection with Him. Shivanya means the one who is limitless and inexhaustible.”
