A recently leaked behind‑the‑scenes video from the Ludhiana shoot of Ranveer Singh’s upcoming spy action thriller, Dhurandhar, has ignited online discussion—largely due to the presence of a Pakistan flag in the scene.

Shot outdoors in the village of Khera in Ludhiana, Punjab, the clip shows Ranveer sporting a rugged look—long hair, thick beard, surma‑lined eyes—dressed in a black outfit, stretching on a terrace before filming, and later waving to a crowd of eager fans. What immediately grabbed social media’s attention was the Pakistani flag fluttering in the foreground.
One viewer asked, “Why is there a Pakistani Flag here?” while another speculated, “Oooooh Bhai anti Pakistan movie.”
Defenders of the film’s creative choice explained it was a narrative device. “When pakistani flag is being shown in the movie they are establishing the fact that they are showing this as a Pakistan area…obviously waha jakey toh shoot nahi karengey nah… koi bhi situation ko kisi bhi random situation kay saath kaise compare kar saktey ho?” wrote one netizen. However, others argued that erecting the flag on Indian soil was “shameful”.
Dhurandhar, directed and co‑produced by Aditya Dhar under Jio Studios and B62, features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, and Sara Arjun. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on December 5, 2025.
While the viral video has stirred varied reactions, the inclusion of the flag appears aimed at authenticity—reflecting a scene set in Pakistan, recreated in Punjab for logistical reasons—rather than any political endorsement.
