Salman Khan unveiled the Season 2 of the Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) and was also announced as its brand ambassador at an event in Mumbai, which was held on July 16. ISRL’s co-founders, Veer Patel and Eeshan Lokhande, also joined the stage.
ISRL Season 2 launch: Salman Khan reveals a fond memory with his father Salim Khan – “I fell down from the bike twice; had bruises on my hand; my father said, ‘Tumko bike chalani aati nahin hai. Toh tum kaayko chalate ho yaar?’”
Salman Khan went down memory lane, “I have many bike experiences. I have even fallen off bikes. Let me narrate one episode from a long time ago. I thought my father (Salim Khan) was upset with me and that’s why he left for the farm. This is the time when I had a Hayabusa bike. I decided to go to the farm and apologize to my father. I rode that bike. Now, I was not wearing a helmet. My cap was ulta and it flew. This is when I realized that it was not safe to ride the bike in this manner at all. Then I rode very slowly at 35-40 km/hour.”
He added, “I reached the farm. I took a left turn and my bike skidded. I landed in the jungle. I tried to pick up the bike. I was unable to do so. Then my car came. My team and I managed to pick up my bike. I started riding again and once more, my bike skidded. There was a lot of gravel on the path. I suffered a bruise on my hand.”
Salman Khan then said, “I met my father. He asked me, ‘Arre, what are you doing here?’. I said, ‘I thought you were upset with me’. But he wasn’t upset and said, ‘I anyway wanted to go to the farm’. Then he saw my injury and asked me about it. I told him, ‘There was a lot of gravel and hence, I skidded’. He saw I had injuries on both sides and asked me how many times I had fallen off the bike. I told him I skidded twice. He retorted, ‘Tumko bike chalani aati nahin hai. Toh tum kaayko chalate ho yaar?’. Then he added, ‘Meri bike nikaalo’.”
He revealed, “My father got his Triumph Tiger 100 bike out. Then my father and I went for a long bike ride at night at the farm. That was a really good experience that I had. But it took time for the injury to heal. Thankfully, I didn’t break any bones.”
