    Jharkhand encounter: CRPF jawan, 2 Maoists killed; search operation under way | India News – Times of India

    NEW DELHI: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan and two Maoists were killed in a gunfight in Jharkhand’s Bokaro district on Wednesday, police said.The Maoist-CRPF gunfight broke out in the Birhordera forest in the Gomia police station area around 5:30 am.“The security forces gunned down two Maoists during the encounter. A jawan of the CPRF’s CoBRA battalion was also killed in the exchange of fire,” IG (Bokaro Zone) Kranthi Kumar Gadidesi told PTI.According to Bokaro SP Harvinder Singh, a search operation is under way in the area following the encounter.(This is a developing story.
