    Engine failure: IndiGo Delhi-Goa flight diverts to Mumbai, lands safely | India News – Times of India

    NEW DELHI: A Goa (Mopa)-bound flight of IndiGo diverted safely to Mumbai late on Wednesday night after the Airbus A320NEO (VT-IZB) reportedly suffered one engine failure. Twin engine jets can land safely on one engine and this one did so at Mumbai. The flight, 6E-6271, had taken off from Delhi at 8.02 pm for Mopa.“One engine of the aircraft failed and a decision was made to divert to Mumbai. Full emergency was declared at Mumbai Airport. The aircraft landed safely at 9.52 pm,” said sources.Comments have been sought from IndiGo and are awaited.
