In a shocking turn of events, one of the brightest tennis players, Radhika Yadav, was shot dead by her father, Deepak Yadav. Deepak had confessed to committing the crime and revealed that he was fed up with the kind of taunts and remarks he had to face for living off his daughter’s money. Several of their close friends, family members and even neighbours have spoken about this matter.
During an interview with the Hindustan Times, a neighbour claimed that there was a ‘love jihad‘ angle to the case, which turned the focus to Inamul Haq, one of the co-stars of Radhika. Now, being restless with the continuous target, Inamul broke his silence.
Was there any ‘love jihad‘ angle in Radhika Yadav’s murder case?
For the unversed, reports initially stated that Radhika Yadav was killed for making a reel/music video, which her father, Deepak Yadav, didn’t like. Eventually, things started getting unfolded, and it was clarified that Radhika, who was a tennis player, took a break from her career due to her shoulder injury, and she started running an academy. However, Deepak was not on the same page as Radhika running the academy, as people used to taunt him for living off his daughter’s money. Deepak shared that it was due to this built-up anger that he shot his daughter dead.
Given that Radhika made a music video with Inamul Haq, and one of her neighbours claimed that Deepak was angry as she fell in love and wanted to marry someone out of her caste, the entire focus shifted to the young actor. Taking to his YouTube handle, Inamul Haq now clarified all the claims and put an end to the buzz about Radhika being killed for love jihad. He mentioned that he was not even able to sleep, seeing people even stating that Radhika’s father did well by killing her, assuming there was a love jihad angle.
Inamul Haq shared that he met Radhika Yadav during their shoot at a tennis ground, and that’s when he got to know that acting was her hobby. Later, Inamul offered her to work in a music video. Radhika even told him that her father liked the video. Inamul said he contacted Radhika again for a jewellery shoot, but she was not interested, and after that, they never talked. He said:
“After coming back, we followed each other on Instagram. We just got acquainted there.”
Inamul further swore on his mother that there was nothing more than that in between them, and people claiming that she was killed due to love jihad are not at all true, and it’s wrong how people supported this brutal act. Inamul can be quoted as saying:
“I can swear on my mother that I had no relationship with Radhika. I also have a mother and sister at home. Daughter, mother, sister have to come in everyone’s life. It is our duty to protect them. People are talking dirty about something that does not exist, she has left this world. I am not calling myself innocent, she was innocent. I have come live because I am reading dirty comments for Radhika too. People have so much hatred, regarding religion. People are saying anything.”
Deepak Yadav was reportedly wealthy himself and even gifted Radhika a Rs. 2 lakh tennis racket
While Deepak Yadav had confessed to the crime by stating that he had killed his daughter, being fed up with the taunts, his acquaintances had claimed something different. One of Deepak’s closest ones told NDTV that he was wealthy, and he had a luxurious farmhouse. Not only this, but everyone in the village, according to Deepak’s friend, was aware of it, making the tuants’ claims seem vague to him. Deepak even reportedly bought Radhika a Rs. 2 lakh tennis racket, as claimed by the acquaintance.
