After revealing that people “always give [her] shit” about the appearance of her breasts and how they look “wrecked,” Tori Spelling shed a little insight on her past procedures, and the struggles she’s dealt with because of them.
During Monday’s episode of her MisSPELLING podcast, Tori answered fan questions, authentically and vulnerably, on how she feels about her breasts, the medical condition that makes her chest look sunken in, and her thoughts on implants now.
“It’s a bone thing, and it’s genetic,” she revealed. “Some of my kids have it as well. Obviously, it ran in my family, and it’s just, like, your bone plate is raised higher. So there’s no way to ever fill in that gap. It was just something I was born with. But I hate when they’re like, ‘Oh God, your boobs are wrecked. Look at that.’ I’m like, ‘No, those are my bones. They’re not wrecked. They’re me.’”
The 52-year-old mother of five recalled not even knowing what size her breast implants were at one point, but “they were, like, 20 years expired and needed to be redone, which I didn’t know when I did them the first time that that would ever be the case. I was young and didn’t understand.”
“I got to say, I don’t know. I don’t love my boobs,” Tori said. “I was hoping this time, when I got them redone, because I needed to get them redone, like medically, I was hoping that they would be smaller.” But she’s never liked the way they looked in clothing, and while “I don’t believe in regrets, if I could go back and tell my, like, 19-year-old self, I would never have gotten my boobs done. I look at my old boobs, and I’m just like, ‘Oh my God. They were great.’”
But memories of her old implants aren’t all bad. In fact, she gifted them to her now-ex-husband, Dean McDermott, as an anniversary present one year. The two split in 2023 after 18 years of marriage.
“I made bookends out of them,” Tori added. “You know I like to DIY. He said, ‘Do you want these back?’ And I said, ‘I am offended.’ And he’s like, ‘No. I didn’t mean it like that. You know I’ve always loved them.’”
“He was like, ‘You know, you could probably sell these on eBay.’ I’m like, ‘I would never.’ And I was like, ‘Wait. How much? How much do you think I can get for them? I’m just curious. Asking for a friend.’”
Despite the criticism, I love that Tori still feels safe to speak openly about her implants and even poke some fun at herself every now and then.
