Care-free summer living is pretty hard to beat—but it’s all that much sweeter when you have a burgeoning romance to go with it.
In Hollywood, a handful of new couples have emerged this season, choosing idyllic summer activities to make things official. After all, is a dreamy beach day or lavish vacation not the prime place to debut a budding relationship?
Take Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro, who made their first public outing at Wimbledon this month. Even better than seeing them canoodle in their courtside seats? The coordinated all-white Ralph Lauren outfits they wore for the occasion. Olivia Rodrigo and Louis Partridge also slipped into preppy his-and-hers Ralph Lauren looks for the sporting event—a departure from their usual downtown-cool outfits.

They aren’t the only duos to coordinate their wardrobes, either. All summer long, starry couples have opted for a like-minded fashion vibe. At various Knicks games, Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet dressed up in vintage team merch; and, as ever, the Biebers have opted for perfectly cool off-duty looks heavy on the baggy leather jackets and hoodies. (They definitely borrow from each other.)
In all of these A-list pairings, the fashion serves are twice as nice. The question is: Do you match with your significant other? Yes, people say that opposites attract, but sometimes, dressing like your sweetheart can be quite—well—sweet, and surprisingly un-cringey. In other words: Don’t be afraid to wear similar pieces or colors. Just try to steer clear of dressing identically—we are going for chic and complementary here, not straight-up clones.
