Sangram Singh and Payal Rohatgi recently celebrated their third marriage anniversary. However, instead of happy cheers, the special day was painted with speculations about their divorce. While Sangram was quick to issue a statement and clarify that they were going strong, the news affected the couple and their families a lot. Nonetheless, the wrestler has decided to move on and focus on his personal life, which might soon include parenthood.
Sangram Singh and Payal Rohatgi are planning to welcome their first child via surrogacy
Sangram Singh recently sat for a conversation with News18 Showsha and shared that he and his wife, Payal Rohatgi, are planning a baby. For the unversed, Payal Rohatgi and Sangram Singh have been extremely candid about their struggle with getting pregnant and their desire to become parents. Payal previously shared about undergoing unsuccessful IVF treatments before marrying Sangram and mentioned how, despite trying to conceive for about five years, she was unable to get pregnant. Now, Sangram has shared about their plans to try surrogacy to become parents and stated:
“Bachchon ki kami khalta nahi hai. We’re planning for surrogacy, but the laws are very different now. A few people in the past had misused surrogacy laws in the country.”
Sangram, in the same conversation, added that they are trying. However, he feels like he and Payal are still kids. He added that when the time is right, they will surely embrace parenthood. He also shared how kids in his village come to him and join him when he trains. He was quoted as saying:
“Hum koshish kar rahe hai. But Payal ji and I feel that we’re still kids. We keep arguing over small things. But when it’s the right time, we’ll also embrace parenthood. It’s all up to god. In my village, kids come to me and show me their cartwheel skills. Dekh ke bahot achcha lagta hai. When I train, they come and join me. I treat them with fruits.”

In the same conversation, Sangram Singh expressed his wishes to have a home filled with children and laughter. He shared how parenthood is an integral part of life. He added that he grew up with many siblings and cousins, recalling that he had eight step-brothers. He addressed how several people choose not to have kids at all or get married.

Payal and Sagram recently celebrated their third wedding anniversary. The wrestler revealed it also marked their 14th year of being together. The lovebirds had first met on the Delhi-Agra highway when her car broke down and Sangram, who was passing by, stopped to help. Over the years, the couple has seen several ups and downs but has only come out stronger on the other side. Talking about Payal, Sangram stated:
“Payal ji bahot ziddi hai. We’re both very different people. I feel like I haven’t been able to figure her out yet. But she’s a perfectionist. People are unpredictable, but when it comes to Payal ji, she’s very transparent. If she’s angry with you, she’ll express it. She isn’t someone to go behind people’s backs and talk against them or backstab them. Aise insaan achche hote hai. She fights with me, but I also know that her universe begins and ends with me. Toh mere se nahi toh kisse karegi?”
