On Sunday, Karan shared an adorable moment on Instagram featuring a conversation with his daughter Roohi about Labubu dolls. In the video, Roohi is seen cuddling her Labubu doll while Karan playfully questions her about the popular trend. “Roohi, do you really want to follow this trend?” he asked.

With her trademark sass and confidence, the six-year-old responds, “It’s not a trend, it’s my friend.” Caught off guard but entertained, Karan replies, “Oh God, okay,” clearly accepting defeat in the playful exchange. He captioned the post: “Can’t argue with that can I?? #LabubuTakeover.”

Friends from the industry and fans on social media responded to Karan’s humorous video. Actor Ishaan Khatter jokingly commented, “Lawhoboo?”. Reality TV star and Shanaya Kapoor’s mother, Maheep Kapoor, reacted with heart emojis. Actor Sophie Choudhry showed support for Roohi, saying, “Well said, Roohi.” A fan wrote, “Awww she is soo adorable. God bless.” Another admirer commented, “She’s growing up so pretty.” One fan offered a light-hearted take, asking, “Ye log hamesha aapko daat te kyu rehte hain (Why are they always scolding [Karan])?”

Karan Johar is presently occupied with promoting his latest production, Dhadak 2, featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri. Speaking about the film, Karan shared his pride in its impactful message. He revealed that the movie delves into a socially significant issue and portrays the stark realities of today’s society.

“It’s a story that makes you wake up and think,” Karan said, emphasizing that the film’s subject isn’t confined to small towns — it has a universal appeal. “These things take time. They can’t happen overnight. That’s why processes like censorship exist, and we have to respect them. It took time, but every good thing does.”
