Prince Harry and his father, King Charles III, may be working towards making amends after years of a bitter family feud.

The monarch and the Duke of Sussex’s aides met for a “secret peace summit” in London last week, according to the Mail on Sunday.

The outlet obtained photos of Meredith Maines, the chief communications officer for Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, meeting with Charles’ communications secretary, Tobyn Andreae, last Wednesday.

Liam Maguire, who oversees the UK press for the Sussexes, was also present for the informal assembly at the private members’ club Royal Over-Seas League.

“There’s a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in years,” a source told the Mail on Sunday.

“There was no formal agenda, just casual drinks. There were things both sides wanted to talk about.”

The trio was seen chatting over drinks at the club’s first-floor garden terrace. The aides later moved their conversation inside.

The insider told the Mail on Sunday that the meeting was only the “first step towards reconciliation between Harry and his father, but at least it is a step in the right direction.”

“Everyone just wants to move on and move forward now. It was finally the right time for the two sides to talk,” the source added.

A source told Page Six that Maines was in London to meet with the UK-based communications team, media, stakeholders and senior figures connected to the Harry’s patronages.

The insider added that her visit was entirely routine and part of ongoing planning and engagement.

Page Six has reached out to both Buckingham Palace and a rep for Harry but did not immediately hear back.

Harry, 40, has had a strained relationship with his brother, Prince William, 43, and their dad, Charles, 76, since the Invictus Games founder quit the royal family in 2020 and moved to North America with Markle.

Things got worse between the relatives when Harry and the “Suits” alum, also 43, accused the royal family of racism and released a Netflix series about their issues.

Then, in January 2023, Harry dropped his bombshell memoir, “Spare,” in which he alleged that William physically attacked him over Markle.

In May, Harry said he was willing to “reconcile” with his family.

“There have been so many disagreements, differences, between me and some of my family,” he told BBC News on May 3.

“This current situation that has been ongoing for five years with regard to human life and safety is the sticking point. It is the only thing that’s left,” the dad of two said, referring to him losing his appeal against the UK government’s decision to strip him of his publicly funded security after he left the royal family.

Harry acknowledged that “some members” of his family would “never forgive” him for “lots of things.”
