Rekha was caught off guard by Kiran Kumar
Before falling in love with Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha fell in love with Kiran Kumar. However, their affair was short-lived as Kiran’s father was against their relationship. Once, Rekha was caught off-guard with Kiran Kumar by a photographer. In the picture published in a newspaper, Kiran and Rekha were seen rushing from a place while holding hands. The moment was caught secretly by a photographer, who was later chased by Kiran.

While scrolling through our social media handle, we stumbled upon a cutout of a 1975 edition of Stardust magazine, where many film personalities revealed the one annoying habit of their partner. Rekha, who was dating actor, Kiran Kumar at that time, said:
“We can never have late nights out together. He is so particular about reaching home at ten sharp, to drink his glass of milk. His ‘dutiful son’ devotion really bugs me. Haven’t I had enough of mama’s boys?”
On the other hand, Kiran revealed Rekha’s annoying habit, saying he got annoyed when she mimicked his ex-girlfriend’s voice on the phone. He also stated that Rekha gets irritated when he turns sweet to her.
What led to Rekha and Kiran Kumar’s break-up?
Kiran Kumar is the son of the famous villain, Jeevan, who ruled the industry from the 50s to 80s. Rekha and Kiran’s affair did not last long because of strong opposition from his father, Jeevan. Kiran Kumar’s father was a Kashmiri Pandit who did not approve of Rekha because of her scandalous past. As his family opposed their relationship, Kiran, who Rekha used to call ‘Kin Kin’, didn’t stand for her, and the two called it quits.

In an interaction with Siddharth Kannan, Kiran Kumar spoke up about Rekha and revealed that she was in fact, one of the loveliest people he ever crossed paths with. Heaping praises on Rekha’s beauty, Kiran mentioned:
“Rekha ji is a lovely person, she has a heart of gold and the face of a diva, I fail to understand how she can manage to look the way she looks now, after all these years. She’s a person I have a lot of reverence for. I haven’t crossed paths with her in a long time, but she’s somebody whom I’ll always cherish in my heart, that’s it.”
He rubbished the reports of Rekha’s imitation of his ex-girlfriend’s voice on the phone and simply denied any such incident having occurred. In his words:
“Nothing like this ever happened. I don’t even know who this ex-girlfriend could have been. I don’t know anything about this. She is too big a person to do that.”
