Survivor Season 49 officially has a premiere date. CBS revealed the date on July 10 on Instagram. Two players from this season will be seen again in Survivor 50 in 2026. With a premiere date now confirmed, a Season 49 casting announcement can’t be too far away.

When does Survivor Season 49 come out?

Survivor Season 49 premieres Wednesday, September 24, at 8/7c on CBS. The series made the announcement in a Thursday Instagram post. The photo is from the beaches of Fiji, where the show films, with “Season 49” and “September 24” written in the sand.

Survivor has aired on Wednesdays at 8/7c for years on CBS and will continue to do so this fall, CBS announced on May 7. Both Survivor and The Amazing Race will continue with the 90-minute episode format in their upcoming seasons. See the CBS fall 2025 schedule here.

Has the Survivor Season 49 cast been announced?

Not yet, but Jeff Probst will return as host for the 49th consecutive season. The Survivor 49 cast will be announced later this year, closer to the fall premiere date. But as stated above, we do know that two players from the Survivor 49 cast are also in Survivor 50.

When does Survivor 50 premiere?

Survivor Season 50 is themed “In the Hands of the Fans.” The cast was announced in May, and filming began and ended in June in Fiji. Mike White from The White Lotus, Cirie Fields, Colby Donaldson, Benjamin “Coach” Wade, Ozzy Lusth, and more fan-favorite Survivor alums are part of the cast of returning players. Season 50 premieres in spring 2026.
