“I love most things that Anastasia makes, but specifically the Brow Freeze Gel,” says celebrity makeup artist and Jamie Makeup founder Jamie Greenberg. The wax-gel hybrid delivers a strong hold and features a handy dual-sided comb for perfect sculpting.

    Pür

“I love that this has SPF 15 in the formula, and acts as a foundation, concealer and powder all in one!” adds Greenberg.

    IT Cosmetics

“A little of this goes a long way, and it does not budge. I love it for both mature and younger skin. You can also use it as a foundation by sheering it out with a damp sponge,” says makeup artist Katie Mellinger.

“This tool is magic for calming and depuffing eyes quickly,” explains makeup artist Fiona Stiles, who works with Lily Collins, Kaitlyn Dever, Nina Dobrev, Elizabeth Banks, Gabrielle Union and Julia Louis Dreyfus, among other stars.

Hairstylist Adir Abergel and facialist Mimi Luzon love Necessaire’s body lotion. “It’s a lightweight body cream with a natural scent that absorbs quickly into the skin,” says Luzon, whose clients include models Irina Shayk and Ashley Graham.

A-list makeup artists Molly Greenwald, Fiona Stiles and Hinako and celeb stylist Venetia Kidd all love the bestselling Beautyblender. “I use them pretty exclusively for everything; I love the weight of the sponge,” says Greenwald, while Kidd notes that “it makes putting on liquid foundation seamless and not look as caked on as a brush does, in my opinion.”

    Clé de Peau Beauté

Hinako says that Cle De Peau’s SPF 25 foundation is “the perfect foundation to make radiant, flawless skin; it lasts long and photographs very well.”

    Westmore Beauty

“A favorite powder of mine is the Westmore 3-In-1 Photo Finishing Powder,” celebrity colorist Rita Hazan has told THR. “It is the perfect final step to your makeup routine to leave your makeup looking matte and locked in place all day long. It blurs pores without dulling your makeup. It is one shade and matches all skin tones. This is definitely a go-to product that everyone should have in their makeup bag.”

Eucerin’s Intensive Repair Lotion adds “the most incredible sheen on the skin,” says Keys.

Abergel recommends using Dermaflash’s electric dermaplaning tool “once a week to get dead skin cells off and any peach fuzz you may have, leaving your skin smooth.”

A-list hair extentionist Priscilla Valles, Greenberg and Hazan all swear by Dae’s Agave Dry Heat Protection & Hold Styling Mist. “I spray on my hair before applying heat and there’s no sizzle, and helps to keep my hair strands looking smooth and glossy without becoming tangled,” Valles says.

Unite 7Seconds Detangler is an amazing detangler and heat protectant that targets knots and tangles while adding protein back to the hair. Works best on wet hair,” says hairstylist MJ Snyder.

Nutrafol has become my ultimate best friend when it comes to hair care. Their range of products, from hair serums to hair vitamins, has completely transformed the health and appearance of my hair. Not only have I noticed significant improvements in hair growth and thickness, but Nutrafol has also made a noticeable difference in the overall strength and vitality of my locks,” explains Emmy-winning makeup artist Julia Jovone.

Jovone is also a fan of L’Oréal Voluminous waterproof mascara for its “affordability and performance.” The drugstore essential “is a game-changer, especially when working on set and needing to transition quickly between emotional scenes. This mascara not only holds up against tears, but it also provides incredible volume and length to the lashes. The result is a cute, doll-like effect that enhances your eyes and completes your look.”

    Grande Cosmetics

“The small applicator allows for a dense, high color payout look. Also, it’s comforting knowing the serum is not only making them look better temporarily, but also full and dark for the long haul,” says makeup artist and BeautyCurious podcast co-host Ian Michael Crumm.

Of Nyx’s affordable waterproof brow pen, Katie Mellinger says, “amazing shades, not too dark so they’re kind of dummy-proof. So cheap! Perfect for sketching in any missing hairs or extending the length of a brow.”

Celebrity makeup artists Molly Greenwald, Lilly Keys and Ciele Cosmetics co-founder Nikki DeRoest are self-professed fans of celebrity aesthetician Shani Darden’s Sculpting Wand, which uses soundwave technology to decrease the appearance of nasolabial lines, crow’s feet and more. “It feels amazing and helps with lymphatic drainage,” notes DeRoest.

NuFace’s microcurrent device is among “kit staples of mine,” reveals Keys.

    Amazon

Stylists Amanda Lim and Mickey Freeman both love using Nippies’ adhesive silicone nipple covers, which come in options for A to D+ ups and in six skin-tone shades.

    Amazon

Hazan says the Conair Fabric Shaver and Lint Remover “is a great tool to have in your closet. It is perfect to have when your sweaters or athletic leggings start [pilling].”

BK Beauty’s vegan, cruelty-free and super-soft makeup brushes are also staples among Hollywood pros.

“I use two of Nurse Jamie’s Super-Cryo Massaging Orb Minis at a time to depuff the face. The shape and size make it really easy to use on my clients, it’s hard with some rollers to get right under the eye or along the sides of the nose,” says Stiles.

“The Denman brush is my absolute favorite especially for my natural curls, it’s the best at detangling and leaving my curls hydrated,” says Kidd. “I comb out my conditioner with it, then rinse and apply the Vegamour leave-in and brush it out again for my ideal wash-and-go.”

Keys and Kidd are fans of Crest’s 3D Whitening Strips between professional appointments. “Nothing tops getting them professionally whitened but if I had to choose I’d say [these],” says Kidd.

“I love Lilly Lashes for strip lashes,” says Keys. The brand offers sheer band, 3D mink and self-adhesive options for a range of lengths and flutter styles.

“Ardell Demi Wispies are my absolute go-to for all my clients and work on every eye shape,” says makeup artist Renee Loiz. “They’re super lightweight, natural looking, and have the perfect balance of volume and length without looking overdone.”

“I like to use cooling tools and frozen wands like the Doré Le Glaçon Facial Ice Roller,” says Greenwald.

“My go-to red carpet bust product is Hollywood Fashion Secret’s Breast Lift Tape. This product works wonders, I have a larger bust and it holds them perfectly in place all night,” says Kidd.

When there’s no time to place strips of double-stick tape onto potential wardrobe malfunctions, Hollywood Fashion Secrets’ Liquid Fashion Tape rolls and dries quickly onto skin and fabric.

“I love Morphe setting spray, the nozzle releases a fine mist that doesn’t leave droplets on the face and stays all day,” says Keys.

Molly Greenwald favors all of Peter Thomas Roth’s under-eye patches, but the makeup artist calls out the Water Drench Cloud Hydra-Gel Eye Patches as her go-to.

A favorite of actress Marisa Tomei and THR‘s shopping editors, Style Edit’s travel-friendly Root Cover-Up quickly hides greys on the scalp and hairline.

“The speed and heat are perfect for me to smooth down the cuticle without over stretching it,” says Abergel of GHD’s Helios pro hair dryer.

Conair’s Turbo Extremesteam handheld steamer was a clear favorite for a second year in a row in our Red Carpet Essentials Awards. Celebrity stylists Venetia Kidd, Krista Roser, Amanda Lim and Mickey Freeman all say this portable wrinkle remover is an essential in her stylist kit.

The Dyson Airwrap is a favorite among tons of stars and insiders, including Valles and Hazan. The Origin version of the multi-styler is on sale for 25 percent off and includes a curling barrel, a round volumizing brush and a Coanda smoothing dryer.

    Dyson

Hairstylists Araxi Lindsey (Regina King, Zoë Kravitz and Zazie Beetz are all clients), MJ Snyder and Priscilla Valles and brow expert Melanie Marris all have rave reviews for the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer, including the professional version.

Dyson’s new Supersonic Nural — equipped with a smart sensor that automatically adjusts temperature air flow — delivers safe, quick drying and styling for all hair types while protecting your scalp’s health.

“I love Brow Code for brows — I love their clear laminate gel,” says Keys.

“I believe the most important thing for flawless skin is prepping very it well before applying foundation. I always use Sisley Paris Express Flower Gel to massage my clients’ face as the first step of my skin prep — it’s very hydrating and makes skin so fresh and I can’t start makeup without this,” says Hinako.

“Nothing gets eyes whiter than Lumify eye drops,” says Molly Greenwald.

Celebrity hairstylist MJ Snyder and celebrity colorist Mara Roszak love GHD’s Pro Flat Iron. “It’s super versatile and I can use this to create really nice texture and waves,” says Snyder.
