Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa recently sat for an interview with News18 Showsha, where they were asked about their feelings as they are about to open a new chapter in their life. The soon-to-be-dad, Rajkummar, shared that the moment is extremely great. The Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana actor also mentioned how his friends, who have already become parents, are saying that this phase is going to be the ‘best chapter’ of their lives. The soon-to-be mom, Patralekhaa, added that the baby’s arrival is nothing but a natural progression of their relationship. Patralekhaa shared how beautifully she and Rajkummar have completed 15 years together and have grown together. Sharing his feelings, Rajkummar said:
“It feels great, of course. Still syncing in, but a lot of our friends who are already parents are telling us ‘this is going to be the best chapter, the best phase of your life’. We are absolutely looking forward to it.”
Patralekhaa and Rajkummar Rao’s first public appearance together after the pregnancy announcement
On July 10, 2025, Patralekhaa and Rajkummar Rao were spotted together at a New Zealand Tourism event in Mumbai. This is the couple’s first public appearance since announcing their pregnancy. The soon-to-be mom, Patralekhaa, looked gorgeous wearing a dark brown pantsuit, while Rajkummar donned a grey blazer with a white shirt underneath and paired it up with grey-hued jeans. The couple walked to the event hand in hand, appearing deeply in love with each other. The soon-to-be parents also blushed and smiled as they were clicked by the paps.

On July 9, 2025, Rajkummar took to his Instagram handle and made a collaborative post with his wife, Patralekhaa, to announce the good news. The post featured a heartwarming graphic of a small crib surrounded by flowers and had the most beautiful and sweet words, “Baby on the way”, written just above the crib. The graphic also featured the names of the soon-to-be parents, Patralekhaa and Rajkummar. Sharing the exciting news through adorable graphics, the couple wrote, “Elated,” followed by two red heart emojis.

Rajkummar and Patralekhaa crossed paths for the first time in 2010 as they were travelling to Pune to shoot for a music video and were coincidentally sharing the same car. However, Patralekhaa didn’t talk to him because, at that time, she had watched Love, Sex Aur Dhokha, Rajkummar’s debut film, and found him ‘creepy’. However, as time passed, Patralekhaa found that the Maalik actor was quite different in real life, and the duo started dating in 2010.
Later in 2014, the couple also collaborated on the film, Citylights. In 2021, the two decided to take their relationship to the next stage, and after 11 years of togetherness, the couple tied the knot on November 15, 2021. The duo had a private wedding ceremony in Chandigarh. Now, the couple is all set to embark on a new journey and will soon be parents.
