Priyanka Chopra Jonas has once again melted hearts across the internet — this time with a powerful and deeply emotional message about her daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. The note appears to be a heartfelt tribute to her daughter Malti, whom Priyanka shares with husband Nick Jonas. The couple welcomed Malti via surrogacy in January 2022, and since then, the thrilled parents have often showcased how she has become the centre of their world.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the global icon and mother-of-one shared a moving statement that quickly went viral, “My daughter walks with a fire I had to fight to find. She’s not my shadow. She is my legacy.”
This isn’t the first time Priyanka has publicly expressed her awe and love for Malti. During her recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she was promoting her action-comedy Heads of State, she opened up about life with her daughter in the most heartwarming way.
“She’s precocious, she’s funny, she’s a little comedian. She knows she’s funny, so that’s even better. Yeah, she’s such a light of our lives right now,” Priyanka shared, her face lighting up while describing her toddler’s personality.
She also gave fans a peek into her family’s current routine. “Nick has been on Broadway for the last five years. We were in New York, hunkered down. I am filming a movie in India, so I fly back and forth from there. So we are based on the East Coast right now, and she’s going to school here. She has her little clique of friends, and her schedule’s even crazier than mine. There are so many classes. Kids do so much… She wants to socialise with other babies.”
Despite her demanding schedule, Priyanka clearly makes time to prioritise motherhood — and the emotional investment shows.
On the professional front, the actress was recently seen in Heads of State alongside John Cena and Idris Elba on Amazon Prime Video. She’s also gearing up for her next action-packed project, The Bluff, a fantasy swashbuckler drama. Back in India, she’s attached to the much-anticipated film SSMB29 with superstar Mahesh Babu and legendary director S.S. Rajamouli. Meanwhile, fans of the spy thriller Citadel can also look forward to Season 2, which is currently in development.
