Korean skin care brand Laneige is teaming up with Baskin-Robbins this summer to offer its customers a new, limited-edition rainbow sherbet-infused lip product, inspired by Sydney Sweeney, who’s been a global ambassador for the brand since 2022. This collaboration marks Laneige’s largest national brand partnership since its inaugural launch in the U.S. in 2014.
“We’re thrilled to unveil the limited-edition Laneige Rainbow Sherbet Lip Sleeping Mask — a sweet tribute to our most iconic bestseller, just in time for National Ice Cream Day,” said Julien Bouzitat, general manager of Laneige U.S., via statement. “This playful pairing blends the nostalgic delight of the beloved Baskin-Robbins flavor with Laneige’s latest lip mask innovation: a marbleized pattern combining three colors and scents, making it the sweetest beauty collab of this summer.”

According to Laneige, the rainbow sherbet was picked from Sweeney’s go-to order at Baskin-Robbins. Sweeney is famously a longtime fan of the American ice cream franchise, and recently launched a separate campaign with them called “Sweet on Sydney,” which gives customers the chance to order off an exclusive menu curated by the actress herself.
The Laneige Rainbow Sherbet Lip Mask adds to the brand’s existing flavors, including Matcha Bubble Tea, Taro Bubble Tea, Peach Iced Tea, Berry, Gummy Bear, Sweet Candy, Vanilla and Grapefruit. However, this latest edition features a first-of-its-kind “marble technology,” mixing orange, pineapple and raspberry notes in a bit-size swirl. The sleeping mask also comes with a mini pink spoon, so it’s actually like taking a bite of the frozen treat.

Laneige has been ramping up its specialty food partnerships lately, tapping popular brands such as La La Land Kind Café, Bobo Guys and Dough Donuts to infuse heritage flavors into its soothing lip care formula. Bouzitat recognized the brand’s avidness in working with beloved eateries and drink franchises to unlock unique sensory explorations. He told WWD: “This year, Laneige elevated its sensorial brand narrative through strategic food and beverage collaborations, driving viral engagement and deepening our cultural resonance within the beauty space.”
The growth of Laneige within the U.S. has been bolstered by the success of its Lip Sleeping Mask line. In 2022, when Sweeney was ushered in as a celebrity partner, Laneige reported that the product was sold every three seconds and was the number-one most-wished lip care product on Amazon. Last year, the Lip Sleeping Masks garnered more than 100 million views on TikTok, and more than 1.5 million hearts on Sephora’s Loves List, per a previous WWD report.
The Rainbow Sherbet Lip Sleeping Mask will be available online and in-stores at Sephora, Sephora at Kohl’s and on laneige.com, starting Tuesday. As part of this collaboration, select Sephora locations will be offering free scoops of the actual rainbow sherbet on National Ice Cream Day, which is July 20.
