Actor Ananya Panday seems to have missed out on a big moment of her best friend Shanaya Kapoor who is gearing up for her big Bollywood debut this week with Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan. It seems that the Liger actress couldn’t make it to the premiere of the film but she made sure to shower her with love and support on social media.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Ananya shared a stunning photo of Shanaya from the premiere night of Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan which featured her alongside Ananya’s mother Bhavana Pandey who attended the premiere and also cheered for Shanaya. Along with that, Panday also posted a heartfelt apology along with a sweet promise that read, “So sad! I missed my beautiful bestie’s most special night but I am gonna be seated in the cinema on Friday and you should be too,” she wrote, expressing her excitement for the film’s theatrical release on July 11, 2025.
Ananya Panday, who shares a close friendship with Shanaya Kapoor, Suhana Khan, and Navya Naveli Nanda, is often seen spending time with her inner circle. Despite being unable to attend due to prior work commitments, Ananya ensured that her absence didn’t go unnoticed and made it clear she’s rooting for her friend’s big break on the silver screen.
Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is a romantic drama based on Ruskin Bond’s acclaimed short story ‘The Eyes Have It’. Directed by Santosh Singh and written by Mansi Bagla, the film is a poignant love story between a visually impaired musician and a spirited theatre artist.
The film stars Vikrant Massey in the lead role opposite debutante Shanaya Kapoor, who plays a vivacious theatre performer. Produced by Mansi Bagla, Varun Bagla, and Vipin Agnihotri under Zee Studios and Mini Films, the film was shot extensively in Mussoorie and Mumbai, with principal photography concluding earlier this year.
Shanaya’s debut has already garnered buzz, not only because of her lineage — she is the daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor — but also due to the film’s unique and emotionally rich storyline. With her co-star Vikrant Massey known for his nuanced performances, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is expected to be a compelling cinematic experience.
