The former PA has been booked for forgery and fraud, allegedly ‘stealing an amount exceeding Rs. 76 lakh from the actress and her production house, Eternal Sunshine Productions Pvt Ltd. Vedika was arrested by the police from Bengaluru, nearly five months after the complaint was filed by Soni Razdan, the director at Eternal Sunshine Production on January 23, 2025.
According to police sources, Vedika Prakash Shetty allegedly forged Alia Bhatt’s signature to swindle funds from the production house’s accounts to her own over a period of two years. A report by News 18 further revealed that Vedika has swindled a substantial amount of Rs. 76,90,892 from Eternal Sunshine Entertainment’s funds, as well as Alia’s personal accounts, between 2023 and 2025. A complaint was filed against Vedika by Alia’s mother in January 2025, alleging financial misconduct. However, further investigation revealed massive fraud. As of now, an FIR has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
