Diljit Dosanjh has been in the headlines since the beginning of 2025 for both good and bad reasons. After back-to-back success on a global stage, the singer has found himself in hot water ever since his film, Sardaar Ji 3, co-starring Hania Aamir, was released overseas. It brought a wave of backlash, including ban calls on the actor by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) and other organisations in the entertainment industry. But, amid all this Diljit seems to remain unfazed and was seen having a good time at the set of his upcoming film, Border 2.
Diljit Dosanjh shares a funny video from the sets of Border 2
Diljit Dosanjh’s presence in Border 2 led various film unions to call for a ban on the film, which was only lifted after a sincere request from Bhushan Kumar. But, looks like Diljit isn’t affected or tensed by the situation as he recently shared a new reel on his Instagram handle where he was seen having fun with his co-actors and other team members. The video clip gave a lighthearted look into the behind-the-scenes camaraderie between the actors, including Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty and Mona Singh. Despite the rainy weather and filming delays, the film’s team was seen enjoying shooting in a cheerful mood.
Diljit Dosanjh kicked off the reel in his signature humorous Punjabi style, asking his fans not to worry, and he was set to enjoy it with his friends. At one point, he jokingly pointed out that the film’s director had stopped shooting and was chilling with the cast, further lightening the mood. He was also seen interacting with Anees Bazmee and Boney Kapoor, the producers of his next film, No Entry 2. Although there were reports that the actor had turned down the role due to scheduling issues, there is still uncertainty over his participation.
Bhushan Kumar allegedly vowed not to work again with Diljit Dosanjh
After Sardaar Ji 3‘s overseas release, the demand for a ban on all the forthcoming projects featuring Diljit Dosanjh gained momentum, including Border 2. Later, the organisation’s president, BN Tiwari, explained that he met Bhushan Kumar. Since the makers had requested that they have already shot for Diljit’s portions, they couldn’t replace him, so they accepted it. However, they highlighted that no one will get an exemption for the second time. Meanwhile, Bhushan Kumar was also quoted by the publication saying,
“Will never cast Diljit Dosanjh in future films. Have issued a letter to the federation.”
