Neko Case has announced her first album in seven years: Neon Grey Midnight Green is the venerable singer-songwriter’s follow-up to 2018’s Hell-On, and it is out September 26 via Anti-. Listen to lead single “Wreck” below.

“There are so few producers who are women, nonbinary, or trans,” Case said in a press statement. “People don’t think of us as an option. I’m proud to say I produced this record. It is my vision. It is my veto power. It is my taste.”

In January, Case shared her memoir, The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You, which has since become a New York Times bestseller. She’ll kick off a tour of North America on October 1 in Woodstock, New York.
