Jackie Shroff celebrates 36 years of Tridev, takes fans on a nostalgic ride
Jackie Shroff took to his Instagram Stories to share a song clip from the film, writing, “#36yearsofTridev”. Released in 1989, Tridev is an action thriller that became a major hit, featuring Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, and Naseeruddin Shah in lead roles. The film’s music was a standout, with the song “Tirchi Topiwale,” featuring Naseeruddin Shah and Sonam Khan, gaining immense popularity.
On the professional front, Jackie Shroff is enjoying the success of his recently released ‘killer-comedy’ Housefull 5. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film hit theatres on June 6.
The film also boasted an ensemble cast, including Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sonam Bajwa, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chunky Panday, Johnny Lever, Chitrangada Singh, Sanjay Dutt, among others.
In Housefull 5, Jackie Shroff played the role of Chief Inspector Baba, a cop whose playful banter with his colleague Sanjay Dutt’s character, Bhidu, emerged as one of the film’s key highlights.
Next, he is gearing up for his upcoming release, Tanvi: The Great, wherein he will be seen playing the role of Brigadier Joshi. Directed by Anupam Kher, the makers of the film unveiled the trailer, offering a peek into Jackie’s impactful role. In addition to Jackie Shroff, the film also stars Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Karan Tacker, Iain Glen, Pallavi Joshi and Arvind Swamy. Having been making waves at international film festivals, Tanvi: The Great talks about an autistic girl’s journey of joining the army. It is scheduled to release on July 18.
