A school teacher was brutally assaulted by a student’s family after he scolded the child for not completing homework in Bihar’s Gaya district. The video of the assault, reportedly recorded on July 5, 2025, is now circulating widely on social media.

The incident took place at Shahwazpur Middle School where teacher Rakesh Ranjan Srivastava reprimanded a student for failing to do his homework. He merely instructed the child to complete the assigned work and come prepared the next day. However, this scolding sparked outrage among the student’s family.

On Saturday morning, the student arrived at school accompanied by his family members. Without warning, they barged into the school premises and attacked teacher Rakesh Ranjan Srivastava with sticks and batons. The assault left the teacher severely injured. When another teacher tried to intervene and protect his colleague, the attackers also beat him up.

A fellow staff member recorded the entire incident on video, which has since gone viral on social media platforms, drawing widespread condemnation.
