A new Air Jordan sneaker which was scrapped from 2025’s release schedule is reportedly back on track for a launch next year.

According to numerous trusted sources including Sneaker Market RO, @brandon1an and @zsneakerheadz, the Air Jordan 12 Retro “Bloodline” colorway is back on the schedule for 2026. News of the pair first surfaced in May 2024 before quickly being corrected the following month, with reports stating it was replaced by the Air Jordan 12 Retro Flu Game, which ended up being released in March of this year. Given the similarities of their black-and-red color schemes, it’s not hard to deduce why the brand decided not to launch the two styles in the same season.

With a Black/Varsity Red colorway, the “Bloodline” pair is mostly black based, using touches of red on the branding, eyelets and molded TPU Jumpman badge. A metallic sheen gives the details some added pop, while a black leather upper is paired with the shoe’s signature textured mudguard. While it’s not the most creative color combination that’s graced the classic Air Jordan 12, the Chicago Bulls-themed look should have no trouble selling once it’s released next summer.

A speculative mock-up of what the Air Jordan 12 ‘Bloodline’ sneaker is expected to look like.

Given its “Bloodline” nickname, some fans have theorized an association with WWE star Roman Reigns, but that isn’t the case here. Although the wrestler has a relationship with the brand and frequently wears black-and-red Air Jordans, there doesn’t appear to be any official connection on this upcoming release. Instead, it’s a continuation of a long-running Jordan Brand theme which has been featured on the Air Jordan 1.

It’s worth noting that in-hand images of the upcoming release aren’t yet available and that the images featured here are speculative mock-ups of what the style is expected to look like.

Fans who were disappointed to learn of last year’s Air Jordan 12 Retro “Bloodline” cancelation can now rejoice as the pair is expected to be released during summer ’26. The sneaker has a style code of CT8013-060 and will retail for $205 in adult sizes.
